One maybe excused to think at first glance that we are looking at the Triangulum Galaxy, but actually this is NGC 300, or the Sculptor Pinwheel Galaxy. NGC 300 lies in the constellation of Sculptor and is a spiral galaxy similar to our own Milky Way galaxy. Some of the bright blue specks in this image are young, massive stars called blue super giants while the pinks are from the radiation and strong stellar winds emitting from a population of bright and young stars just turned "on"……
