The Ennedi Plateau in northeastern Chad gets as back of beyond as beyond can get. A three day drive from the capital Ndjamena, it is not visited often by tourists and I believe I may be one of the first astrophotgraphers to extensively travel in this area. Ennedi does not disappoint as it is far away from any sort of light pollution and the crystal clear dry Saharan skies make for seeing of a very high quality.
