Sita meets Bharat...... The beaches in Neil Island have been named after the mythological characters of the ancient Indian epic, The Ramayana. The beaches are Sitapur, Bharatpur and Laxmanpur. Ram is Sita's husband and Laxman and Bharat are Ram's brothers. But in this image we see Sita wedded to Bharat for the image is a composite with the Milky Way taken at Sitapur beach and the foreground shot at Bharatpur beach. Times were tough due to corona lock downs when i arrived at Neil Island and night curfew was imposed from 10pm to 5am. This meant i would arrive at the beaches at around 930pm and would stay there all night till the time curfew was lifted at 5am. Coupled to this was the timing of the Milky Way rise and the timing of the low tide.... for this location can only be accessed in low tide. The rising moon and millions of mosquitos had their say as well......A tough shoot in the end....... can u see both the arches ??
